My whole family members (except my mother) love to fish. My father, me & another 3 elder brothers are kingfisher. So, during this Chinese New Year holiday (2days before CNY, remember CNY cannot involve in killing include fishing), father bring us for a "reunion" during fishing trip.
Fishing in Jitra
This time, again, father bring us deep into country side of Jitra. After a long drive, turn right & left, we come into a small Malay village. I totally don't know where the hell we are now. The road is small until only one car can pass at a time. Anyway, when we are appear with the target river, it is so beautiful. Many fish are playing the water give us challenge. The picture of fish fighting start to appear in my mind........ I start to see myself fight a big Snake head using my lovely ryobi & shimano......

3rd bro in action searching for snakehead
Without delay any time, we quickly put on the bait & throw into the river. Even though this is very nice river & many fish playing water around, no fish would like our bait. No matter how many times I throw the small frog into the place where fish play water, no fish is attracted. My father who just finish smoking, now just put on bait and throw into target spot. What a lucky fellow, first throw already get fish. Anyway, this is just a small snakehead with only 15cm. The small Snake head is released back into the river.
We keep our hardwork to throw the small frog while the fish also keep hard wok to playing around. Suddenly, my bait is hit by a big guy & pull my line away. I quickly give it a hit. What xxx!, My fishing rod hit on the tree & the big fish is run away & left empty hook for me....... This is the only bite in this beautiful river. Even though no fish, i still fascinated with the beautiful scenery there.
Change place
Big bro in action fighting with snakehead
After about 1.5 hour without any fish in that unknown beautiful river, we change place. Again, father drive us into another unknown small Malay village to a pond surround by gate. Inside the pond, 50% is covered by water lilly. Each of us put on the bait & throw into the pond to our target place.
Finally, big bro the is first lucky guy who get bite by the Snake head. Big bro slowly let go some line & give it a hit after the line is tight. Sxxx! This clever Snake head already get into the root of water lilly & runaway. This is just not our day, another person is losing to the fish.
3rd bro with snakehead
Suddenly, I saw 3rd bro stand up from sit & quickly keep his line. After just 1 minutes, a beautiful Snake head is landed. Next, is my showtime. I put down my rod with bait inside the pond, to take picture for 3rd bro, a unlucky fellow slowly stole my small frog. When I come back to my fishing rod, the line already tight & without any delay, I hit it. A small Snake head is land within just 30s. The Snake head is released back to the pond.
Right after that, for following 1 hour, no more fish bite our bait. Thus, we keep all thing & back home for CNY celebrating.
